If your space needs some grounding, Magnolia Home’s newest launch embodies earthiness. In partnership with Loloi Rugs, the brand is bringing Joanna Gaines’ classic farmhouse style straight to your own home. Whether you’re looking for a rug with a chic accent pattern or want to give your living room a cottage-inspired makeover, there’s something for everyone in this collection.
“Timelessness is at the heart of every collection we create,” Gaines says. “I never want someone to feel like they need to constantly be replacing these investment pieces in their home. I want every rug we make to feel timeless and classic, something people can trust will really stand the test of time, even as their style or home evolves.”
There are five new rug collection offerings to enjoy from Magnolia Home x Loloi this year, and they all feature a wide range of organic colors and patterns. Here’s a breakdown of each.
Many rugs in the collection are hand-tufted or hand-woven and made with a variety of high-quality materials, including wool and cotton. Each is available in a range of sizes to suit your space—and Gaines reminds you to not shy away from styling them with colorful pieces.
“What’s great about neutrals is that you can layer those in first, and then you get to add in your favorite colors and tones on top to create this really balanced look,” Gaines says. “Layering color always makes me think of nature. When you look outside you’ve got a ton of neutral tones supporting the brighter hints of color—and it all looks very natural because there’s a balancing act at play.”
Nineteen new pillows are also being added to the Magnolia Home x Loloi spring collection, including patterns designed to match some of the rugs. From garden-inspired green to sweet cottage blue, each pillow comes in a thoughtful color and pattern that ties everything together.
“I like to think of pillows as little pieces of art,” Gaines says. “Because I tend to lean more neutral when it comes to furniture, pillows are a way for me to layer in color, pattern and personality. Pillows also feel like an invitation to settle in, so I’ll add one to any sort of sitting area, even if it’s a small window seat or accent chair. It just makes those spaces feel extra cozy. When it comes to seasonal changes, I’ll often swap out a couple of pillows when the weather warms, usually from heavy textural styles to something lighter and fresh feeling.”

A chunky grid pattern breathes loads of life into your home, whether you’re hoping for something sleek and chic or modern and maximalist. This wool rug is hand-tufted, which means it will bring a lot of soft texture and style to your space. The dark border pattern makes your space feel more defined—and it even has its very own matching pillow, too: the Erin Pillow Set, full of fluffy grid pillows available in multiple colors. It’s also Gaines’ top pick from the collection.
“The Wayland collection is a favorite this season because it feels timeless to me but with a 1960s or 1970s kind of a vibe,” she says. “The color and pattern is subtle, but the wool texture really makes it feel elevated and special.”

The Wimberly collection is all about embracing moody colors, drawing a space together with rich, distressed patterns made from hand-tufted wool. Patterns like Lagoon Wheat are dark and lived-in, yet their intensity is balanced out by light distressing on each rug, helping it blend in with your existing furniture.
You can browse the full rug collection on Magnolia Home’s website, starting on May 15. You’ll also find it at other retailers including Wayfair, Amazon, and Rugs Direct. Keep an eye out for this lineup as it makes its way to other nationwide retailers, too.
