The summer collabs are slowly starting to trickle in. Birkenstock and Maharashi have delivered the perfect pair of comfortable utility sliders, which riff on the former’s beloved archive sandals, while Frankies Bikinis has joined forces with It-girl-approved dress brand, Realisation Par, on a collection of “hot and timeless” swimwear. On the hunt for summer partywear? Look no further than London-based designer Supriya Lele’s partnership with Mango, where you’ll find flapper-esque minidresses and ’90s-inspired separates.
Whether you’re one of the lucky few (210,000 people) attending Glastonbury in a few weeks, or heading to one of the many day events this month, boho trends are set to define festival style this summer. Embrace the nightie dress trend with Dôen’s crochet-trimmed mini, and consider Chloé’s bracelet bag and Valentino’s Nellcôte bag – courtesy of recently-appointed creative directors, Alessandro Michele and Chemena Kamali, respectively. The ultimate everyday companions. Those who plan to pack a practical wardrobe for Worthy Farm should peruse Levi’s jorts offering – specifically, the Baggy Dad jorts – and Uniqlo’s windproof blouson.
Balmy summer nights are on the horizon. Prepare for the warmer eves accordingly a slouchy leather tote to carry your belongings from picnic to bar and some showstopper trainers to change into as the night rolls on, like the sequined pair from Wales Bonner’s latest collaboration with Adidas Originals. Sunglasses-wise, we’ve got our eye on the slimline Raptor frames from Port Tanger’s partnership with Our Legacy.

Heading off on your summer holidays? Make your first packing pit-stop a pair of linen cargos (ideally in white) and a crochet top. Zara’s zesty lime-green piece will layer perfectly over swimwear.
The skater top is one of the summer 2025 trends that can be sourced second-hand, and Rokit has a great selection of oversized tees in stock right now. Studding is another nostalgic motif that is creeping back into our wardrobes this season, and Khaite’s embellished accessories are the gold-standard.
We’re seeing a particular summer dressing mood emerge this year: we’ll call it “posh hippie”. The main takeaways are as follows: ribbed tank tops, slouchy trousers in muted colourways, raffia bags and beaded, colourful jewellery. Free-flowing yet refined.
Acne Studios has nailed the basics brief this season with its ’90s-inspired layered jersey top. Make like Rachel Green and style yours with a pleated miniskirt and loafers this summer. Continuing with the ’90s theme is The Row’s platform sliders, which send us straight back to our 10 Things I Hate About You teenage era. Useful for when you want a lift without having to commit to a heel.
If you want to inject some Chemena Kamali-inspired bohemianism into your wardrobe, but prioritise practicality, allow us to point you in the direction of Zara’s striped balloon trousers, which are essentially a utility take on the prairie skirt. Equally as note-worthy is Deiji Studios’s cotton minidress, which will work just as well with sandals and sunnies as it will layered over wide-leg jeans.
Love it or hate it, the sneakerina trend is going nowhere, and we’re enjoying The Attico’s metallic, space-age take, which features crossover velcro straps and sporty mesh panels. They’re the ideal shoe for making floaty summer dresses and skirts feel a little more directional. Elsewhere, Balenciaga’s CEO slogan tee is ready and waiting for anyone wanting to manifest a promotion this year.
Last year was all about the milkmaid dress, but for 2025, it’s the milkmaid top that’s making the rounds on our social feeds. Dôen’s Traveler top ticks all the boxes, though we also recommend browsing second-hand sites – try searching for “vintage broderie anglaise top”. In less bucolic territory, Nike’s Shox trainers are taking over from Adidas Japans as the sneaker style of the summer. Coming to a city street near you.
Fruity Booty is the cult London-based brand serving pitch-perfect summer staples this season. While many of the team have the broderie minidress on their wish list, it’s the Trattoria skirt that’s currently top of mind – pair it with a ribbed top, a cord necklace (Alighieri X J Crew has a cute option), and flip-flops for easy weekend dressing.
Bermuda shorts are all we’re wearing right now – whether styled with shirting and loafers for smart-casual occasions, or with heatwave-ready tank tops and flip-flops. As for summer holiday accessories, allow us to point you towards the new Rixo X Dragon Diffusion collaboration, which dropped this week and features some of the brand’s best-selling silhouettes.
For easy warm-weather dressing, look no further than the boxer-shorts-and-sneakers pairing, which is taking over the city streets this summer. Equally as tempting is Massimo Dutti’s patchwork skirt, which will look great with chunky loafers and a tank top for polished boho styling.
Make like Carrie Bradshaw and invest in Tory Burch’s corsage-embellished tank – an easy way to add interest to jeans and skirts alike. Uniqlo has also delivered a very tempting line-up of tracksuits this season, with the new-in wide-leg trousers sure to be popular amongst the fashion crowd over the next few months.
Sorry dresses, summer trousers are fast becoming our staple of choice this year. While linen is a popular fabric, we’ve fallen for Róhe’s wool and mohair-blend pair which come with a drawstring tie and relaxed fit. We recommend styling with a chocolate-coloured top, platform flip-flops and a low-slung wide belt.
Every fashion editor I know can’t stop talking about how much they love Jimmy Choo’s paillette heeled flip-flops. With their Y2K-coded aqua hue and 365 party-girl appeal, these babies will look just as good with denim as they will with a spangled minidress this summer. For more day-to-day dressing, meanwhile, JW Anderson has delivered the perfect knitted shift dress in fade-effect blue – senior commerce writer Alice Cary has tried on IRL and can attest to its comfort.
Calling all wedding guests: Arket has delivered a very tempting silk dress in candyfloss pink that was made for wedding season. You can read contributor Julia Storm’s rave review of the style here. Me+Em has also risen in our summer-dressing stakes with its new-in toe-loop sandal – a standout for flat shoe-lovers and minimalists alike.
The Row is expanding out of its stealth wealth confines this season, and the Esperanza checked skirt is the perfect case in point. Style with a tank top and flat sandals for easy weekend dressing then swap in a white shirt and kitten-heels for evening-ready attire. For cooler spring days, allow us to point you in the direction of homegrown British brand Navy Grey, who has created the perfect rugby shirt that has all the hard-wearing hallmarks of vintage originals.
AllSaints is experiencing a revival this year and the brand’s Leighton utility jacket, which comes in beige and black, is at the top of our list. Elsewhere, Róhe’s origami collection is full of sculptural, summer-ready gems, including the beautiful Kiku skirt – just add a slouchy tee and loafers.
Sporty track pants are everywhere right now, and while it might seem like a curveball, M&S has just dropped a very tempting pair of parachute pants in beige, which are perfect for sunny bank holiday weekends. Nanushka is also on our radar for spring, and its striped midi-dress presents a tempting alternative to summer florals.
The layered top look isn’t going anywhere, and thankfully Peachy Den has made our lives easier by creating a ready-made semi-sheer top and tank pairing that looks just as good together as apart. Loewe X Paula’s Ibiza is also back for another round, and alongside the usual line-up of lust-worthy accessories, the white broderie anglaise shirt is a packing list essential.
There’s nothing twee about Acne Studios’s grey and yellow floral cardigan, especially when it’s paired with The Frankie Shop’s sheer skirt and a kitten-heel flip-flop. Polished spring style, sorted. Elsewhere, Arket is really nailing the utility trend this season and the brand’s bubble-hem jacket is worth your attention. Also worth a look? M&S’s spin on the jelly shoe – we guarantee they won’t stay in stock for long.
We love a good multipurpose purchase, and Mango’s cotton minidress will look just as good with bare legs and tan sandals on holiday as it will worn as a top with tailored black trousers and costume jewellery. Slogan lovers, meanwhile, need to check out Conner Ives’s “Protect the Dolls” tee, which is not only fast becoming a cult item among fashion insiders (as well as Pedro Pascal and Troye Sivan), but all proceeds from the sale of the T-shirt will be donated directly to US-based charity Trans Lifeline.
Louis Vuitton fans take note: the luxury brand has dropped its first sneakerina. Yes, it’s a thing. Part trainer, part pump, its streamlined silhouette will pair perfectly with all your spring and summer staples. In other shoe news, we’ve become obsessed with Muji’s shoe offering (read about the cult flip-flop here) and the velcro-strap, closed-toe sandal is great news for anyone with a predilection for gorpcore.
If you hadn’t heard, capri pants are back for 2025 and they’re the perfect transitional weather staple for when you’re not ready to commit to shorts. This EB Denim pair comes in a classic shade of true blue and looks great with a white tank top and leather jacket (Vogue shopping can’t get enough of Chopova Lowena’s eyelet style). Speaking of hero buys, Balenciaga has just delivered the best “ugly-chic” shoe of the season with its Scholl collaboration – the heeled cork-soled sandal is an acquired taste, but we’re fully sold.
Knwls may be known for its Y2K-style jersey trousers, but this season we’ve only got eyes for the brand’s padded bomber jacket, which is an ideal layer to pair with spring midi-skirts and longline shorts. Me+Em has also nailed the April brief with its cream striped jeans – think of them as a fun update on your usual mid-wash denim. Form an orderly queue.
Asics X Cecilie Bahnsen is back for another round, and this time it comes with a fun floral update on the Gel-Terrain MT sneaker. For Bahnsen-worthy dressing, style yours with socks and a pouffy summer dress. Speaking of collaborations, high-street stalwart M&S has joined forces with Olivia Von Halle to create a line of sumptuous nightwear. My bets are on the striped set selling out – and this is coming from someone who has tested it first-hand.
